There are many "good decisions" that we could make every day through out our life-time, but instead of taking every good decision that comes our way; the Lord challenges us to take a step of faith. He gives us the choice, we can either take the good decision now or we can wait on Him and see the results of making a faith based God-decision. Where is our trust in God? We get to thinking that this will be the only opportunity that we will ever have. Why? Because we don't trust in Him who rescued us from hell, we don't have the faith to see that He knows where every path, choice, or decision that we make will take us.
"But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God." Psalms 31:14
"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24
How deep do you want your faith to be? Because it will only be as strong as your life makes it, the more truth you believe about God the stronger your faith will be. If you always take the "good decisions" the easiest way, your trust level for the Lord is going to be way low. Faith is knowing that the Lord will bring it about in His way and time. So many times in our lives we get caught between a good thing thing and the best thing. All we can see is everything that is right now and we the lack the faith to just trust the Lord for His perfect plans for our future. Allow the Lord to increase your faith, he's ready to take your to higher places in your relationship with Him. Why won't you go? Are you afraid He can't carry you through? So many times we doubt that God can't do it. Can He not fix our little problems? So we end up staying exactly where we are. Ten years down the rode we might be a few steps further, but if we would only trust the Lord, He can take us miles soaring upon the wings of eagles.
When there's a choice between a good decision and a God decision, take a step of faith and choose too fly with the Lord, He will take you to higher places than you've ever seen before! Just trust in Him, He does all things well in His time! Abide in His loving care.
"Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in His mercy; Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield." Psalm 33:18,20
"Blessed is the man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies." Psalm 40:4
